TYG Index Calculation Formula
The following formula is used to calculate the net TYG index from your investment values.
Net TYG Index = TYG Index * (1 - State Tax Rate / 100)
Variables:
- Net TYG Index is the net index value after tax deduction.
- TYG Index is calculated as ((Current Value – Initial Value) / Initial Value) * 100.
- State Tax Rate is the percentage of tax deducted from your investment growth.
To calculate the net TYG index, multiply the TYG index by the state tax rate and subtract the result from the TYG index.
