Dilution Calculation Formula
The following formula is used to calculate the total diluted oil from the amount of essential oil and carrier oil.
Total Diluted Oil = (Essential Oil Amount * Dilution Rate / 100) + Carrier Oil Amount
Variables:
- Total Diluted Oil is the final blend volume (ml)
- Essential Oil Amount is the amount of essential oil used (ml)
- Dilution Rate is the percentage of essential oil in the blend (%)
- Carrier Oil Amount is the volume of carrier oil used (ml)
To calculate the total diluted oil, multiply the essential oil amount by the dilution rate, divide by 100, and add the carrier oil amount.
