The following formula is used to calculate the total cost of ownership for your portable generator:
Total Cost = Generator Cost + (Maintenance Cost * 10) + (Fuel Capacity * $3.20)
Variables:
- Total Cost is the overall cost of owning and operating the generator ($)
- Generator Cost is the initial purchase cost of the generator ($)
- Maintenance Cost is the estimated annual maintenance cost ($)
- Fuel Capacity is the capacity of the fuel tank in liters (Liters)
To calculate the total cost, add the generator cost to ten times the annual maintenance cost and three times the fuel capacity.
