Understanding Elsword Reforging
Reforging Tenebrous Armor in Elsword is a process to enhance its power, increasing its Reforge Level (R0 to R21). Each attempt consumes Glaciem. Failing an attempt can lead to the reforge level degrading (decreasing) or staying the same.
Blessed Fluorite Ores (BFOs) can be used during a reforge attempt. If a BFO is used, it prevents the reforge level from degrading if the attempt fails. It does not increase the success chance itself but protects your progress.
How This Calculator Works:

- Glaciem per Attempt: The fixed amount of Glaciem used for each try. This varies by the current reforge level of the item (e.g., R0-R5 might cost X, R6-R10 costs Y). - Average Success Chance per Attempt: This is the crucial input. It’s the probability (in percent) that a single attempt will result in a stage increase. This chance typically decreases at higher reforge levels. You’ll need to estimate this based on community data or your own experience.
- BFO Usage: If you choose to use BFOs, the calculator assumes 1 BFO is consumed per attempt, preventing degradation. If not, failures might set you back, which this simplified calculator doesn’t directly model beyond requiring more successful attempts based on the success chance.
The calculation for total expected attempts for one stage up is `1 / (Average Success Chance / 100)`. This is then multiplied by the number of stages you want to gain.
